More Options for PeopleSoft 9.2 Customers with Oracle Cloud

Yesterday, a post from Marc Weintraub announced the availability of PeopleSoft on the Oracle Public Cloud. Formally named the Oracle Compute Cloud Service, which was announced at last fall's OpenWorld, customers may now use the Oracle cloud to explore a demo instance of the latest PeopleSoft version, and/or set up and run development, test and staging instances of their PeopleSoft applications.

This announcement gives PeopleSoft customers another option for PeopleSoft deployment. Combined with PeopleTools 8.55, PeopleSoft applications and instances can be quickly provisioned, or "lifted and shifted" to the cloud. The PeopleSoft on Oracle Cloud FAQ should answer most questions, although there is no specific mention of the Campus Solution applications.

With PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), Selective Adoption, and automated deployment options, PeopleSoft continues to become "more cloud-like". Whether a company uses the cloud, or uses these cloud-like techniques for in-house deployment, this is a welcome and important step for PeopleSoft organizations.
