FRAMINGHAM, MA – January 10th, 2014 — Beacon Services and American Fidelity Assurance Company of Oklahoma City, OK., have successfully completed AFA's PeopleSoft implementation. On Jan 1, 2014, American Fidelity Assurance went live with the first wave of their Enterprise Financial Transformation project. Wave 1 focused on restructuring their chart of accounts and implementing the PeopleSoft 9.1 Financials suite to serve as the platform for subsequent waves of the transformation project. The new platform replaced over 15 existing systems and hundreds of manual processes, some as many as 30+ years old and was completed on time and on budget. The PeopleSoft modules implemented include:General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Asset Management, Purchasing, eProcurement, and Cash Management.
Subsequent waves of the project will focus on continuing the transformation through the implementation of eSettlements, Oracle Advanced Controls and Oracle Business intelligence as well as extending the use of the new financial system to other entities within the AFA family of companies. AFA runs PeopleSoft on SQL Server, and their environments are hosted by NaviSite, on Oracle/Linux.
