PRINCETON SOFTECH ANNOUNCES GENERAL AVAILABILITY OF ARCHIVE FOR SERVERS PEOPLESOFT EDITION

Supermarket Retailer Giant Eagle Purchases Out-of-the-Box Software to Better Manage Data Growth; Beacon Application Services Lends PeopleSoft Integration Expertise

PRINCETON, NJ – January 21, 2003 – Princeton Softech, the leader in the enterprise active archiving market, today announced the general availability of Archive™ for Servers PeopleSoft® Edition, the first in a series of fully-integrated, out-of-the-box Active Archive™ Solutions for PeopleSoft applications. Princeton Softech’s Archive for Servers PeopleSoft Edition delivers advanced archive and restore capabilities specifically designed for PeopleSoft Financial Management Solutions.

Archive for Servers PeopleSoft Edition delivers a fully integrated solution for distributed operating systems and the leading relational database management systems (Oracle, DB2, DB2 UDB, SQL Server, Sybase, and Informix). It also allows companies to manage archive processes through familiar PeopleSoft panels/pages and enables access to archived data within the PeopleSoft environment. Companies can remove rarely-accessed data from production databases, and provide easy access to archived data, while maintaining the data’s referential integrity with 100 percent accuracy.

This release provides out-of-the-box archive “templates” for PeopleSoft Financial Management Solutions, including Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger and Billing modules. The pre-defined archive business object “templates” enable a company to begin active archiving data quickly. The templates define the application relationships and business rules needed to precisely identify the data suitable for archiving. Archive for Servers PeopleSoft Edition also provides an advanced architecture and framework that enables organizations to easily customize the archive templates as needed, or create their own templates using the intuitive scalable archive template design environment. Princeton Softech plans to release additional archive templates, supporting numerous other PeopleSoft application suites and modules on a regular basis.

Archived data can be stored online in an archive database, in mirrored archive tables or saved to an Archive File and stored on the most convenient and cost-effective storage medium. Users can access archived PeopleSoft data using standard and familiar PeopleSoft query and reporting tools, while archiving and selective restore processing can be scheduled to run automatically. Integrated archiving support is planned for additional PeopleSoft applications including Human Capital Management.

Pricing for Archive for Servers PeopleSoft Edition begins at $50,000 for the Windows/NT, Windows 2000 versions and $100,000 for the Unix version.
