HIGHER EDUCATION CONFERENCE

Madeline Osit to Discuss “How Major Institutions Harnessed

the Power of PeopleSoft 8” at HEUG 2005 Conference

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – March 21, 2005 – Beacon Application Services, certified PeopleSoft consulting firm, today announced that its Chief Operating Officer, Madeline Osit, will deliver a presentation aimed at helping organizations reach their potential through smart implementation of software at the Higher Education Users Group (HEUG) 2005 Conference, taking place March 21 – 24 at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. HEUG is an annual conference for all higher education users of PeopleSoft applications, and is hosted by the Higher Education Users Group. Now in its eighth year, the conference has become the premier user group event for the Higher Education sector. Ms. Osit’s session will take place on Wednesday, March 23, at 3:30 p.m.

During her presentation entitled, “How Major Institutions Harnessed the Power of PeopleSoft 8,” Ms. Osit will provide information to help companies position themselves to realize the full cost savings and productivity benefits of PeopleSoft 8. Particular emphasis will be placed in the following key areas:

• Exploring the common reasons why major institutions have spent millions to implement new but “not so new” systems

• Exploring the ways in which you can bring a higher level of value to constituents by breaking through the “transaction barrier”

• Presentation of case studies as an example of how others accomplished these goals.

“Simplification, automation, consolidation and standardization are the keys to strategic alignment – administering financial, grant, human capital management and student administrative areas to support overall university goals,” said Osit. “I am pleased to address this widely respected association’s members and discuss how PeopleSoft 8 can dramatically impact their organizations now, and in the future.”

Ms. Osit will also sit with executives from Oracle Corporation and Hewlett-Packard on the HEUG Conference Executive Forum. The Executive Forum is a one-day event for senior executives focused on the key issues related to the implementation and management of PeopleSoft systems.
